Op de grote 30° boog heeft men een feduciale schaal en op de achterzijde, die we tonen, staat de declinatietabel van de zon.
De graduatie op de kleine 60° boog is van 0° tot 60, elke 1°, en op dit instrument staat aan de buitenrand hiervan ook nog schaal voor correctie voor de semi-diameter van de zon.

The arcs divided over one side, the lesser to 60º and the greater to 25º with punched Fleur de Lys and Tudor Rose decoration -- 25in. (63.5cm.) wide
