New edition (1st 1789) of this astronomical handbook by G. Adams (1750-1795), English optician and writer, mathematical instrument maker to George III of England. Complete with 16 folding engr. plates representing diagrams, astronomical phenomena, orreries (planetaria), a pair of globes and other scientific instruments. Final section contains "A catalogue of optical, mathematical and philosophical instruments, made and sold by W. and S. Jones" and pricelist and relating to the stock and copyright of the late G.
