Hourglass, Glass and Brass, used as Log-glass with 14 sec duration. It times the period for measuring the shipsspeed with the classic shipslog,, measuring the speed in knots, tht passed the hand of a sailor in 14 seconds. In the lid we find the inscriptions 1827 and 14. Can be closed by rotation of the inner cylinder. Orange collared Silicate.
